Last week there occurred some activities coincided with the 105th anniversary of cabinet system development in Russia. An extended session of Murmansk Youth Parliament was organized in connection with this event. Murmansk delegation was represented by the head of Youth Parliament in Murmansk Regional Duma Yuliya Romanyuk and her deputies Ekaterina Bublichenko and Oleg Volkov.
The participants were greeted by the deputy head of State Duma Svetlana Zhurova, the head of “Liberal Democratic Party” Vladimir Zhirinovskiy, the first deputy head of State Duma Oleg Morozov and the chief of Youth Committee Pavel Tarakanov. Svetlana Zhurova made a review of youth parliaments work in Russia.
— Youth parliaments exist in 77 Russian regions, — said Svetlana Zhurova. – One can speak about their high quality work. During the last years many pieces of legislation worked out by these parliaments were adopted in many regions. The efficiency of legislation is supported by the fact that in some regions there were adopted several amendments which give youth parliaments the right of initiation of laws. Thus young people have an opportunity to get acquainted with legislation as a matter of practice, see a real political life and get an experience of managerial work.
As a result of the meeting, the leaders of “United Russia”, “Liberal Democratic Party”, “Communist Party” and “Just Russia” agreed to participate in youth parliaments development and support of politically active youth.
